A sweet-floral, slightly extravagant mix of dominant O-flower, earthy "Alien" Jasmine Sambac, and a touch of exotic orchid-like notes. Understated.

Great description! I definitely need to take a closer look/smell at the Diptyque fragrances.

That sounds really nice! I wonder if the 6.5 rating is justified...?

I didn't even know that.. so there's still hope :D but many of the Armani Prives are currently sold out, especially the 50 ml version :(

Smaller sizes would be great, of course. I think they want to keep it very exclusive (I've only seen the scents in Van Noten boutiques so far). Or maybe they want to wait and see how the fragrances are received since they are quite new. For example, the Armani Prives were only available in 100ml for a long time, but now they come in 50ml as well.

Thanks for the explanation. I just checked the price and yikes, totally understandable then. But I also don't get why they don't offer the scent in 30 - 50 ml, that would be nice. Such a shame, I love floral fragrances, especially O-Blüte, but the price really puts me off!

For many niche lovers, this will probably feel too mainstream given the price. And maybe a bit too floral. However, it’s of better quality and just smells really nice. I do have my issues with overly floral scents. But when you factor in the price for the overall rating, I can understand the 6.5. The criteria of the very smooth composition, the use of noticeable synthetics (but good ones!), and the high price apply to all the brand's fragrances. That's probably why they don't fare so well. They resonate with me, though. They have the vibe of a designer exclusive line.

That sounds lovely. O- blossom and jasmine is just a beautiful combination. :-)

I think so too. It's been used a lot, but the effect is always inviting :)

That appeals to me; O-Blüte and Ms. Andrier usually have a good track record with me.

I think you would at least like it. You probably wouldn't be thrilled, though, as it's too similar to well-known scents.

O-Blüte is actually something for me.

Hmm, Alien isn't really my thing.

Then it's not for you, I would say. It's more subtle, though.

A slightly cloying mix gets an 8 from you? That's rare...

Yes, I often like scents by D. Andrier, so I might enjoy this.

I really like Alien. Plus, it has a nice subtlety and is very well balanced. It has a very pleasant scent aura. It's also by Andrier, who knows how to keep expressive fragrance profiles understated and easy to wear. For me, one of the best "noses."

I’d rather steer clear of it :-)
