Striking Mandarin

When you hear the name Mystic Moss, you might think of a green, autumnal moss scent or perhaps a mysterious fougère creation. Some may even envision misty forests or moss-covered ruins. However, what we have here is a pure summer refresher that radiates with its green and tangy mandarin.

The zesty freshness seems to be supported by clary sage, vetiver, and algae, with the latter adding a subtle aquatic note and providing that special kick.
The progression is relatively linear, with the squeaky, unsweet mandarin opening lingering for quite a while. However, the listed base notes tend to get overshadowed.

This raises the question of whether a mandarin or fruit scent can be made even fresher while maintaining its natural essence without drifting into the distinctly synthetic.
Even the longevity is relatively long-lasting for this genre, and the projection is more than acceptable.

In conclusion: those who enjoy fruity but not overly sweet summer fragrances that have a unique quality and stand out a bit should definitely add Mystic Moss to their wishlist. I am thrilled.

I often really like mandarin in fragrances. However, I didn't need the aquatic note, even if it's subtle. Sometimes it's enough just to know it's there 🌊
