In silver mists
Stranded whale
Balm salt shines
On shaggy fur
Driftwood sparks
From leathery barks
Cat tracks
In amber sandalwood

So much amber in the scent notes... that wouldn't be for me at all.

With that, I would probably feel like I was carrying a zoo around with me.

Civet, deer musk, oud...you can probably guess. I’m keeping my distance. 🤧

I'm stranded with you. Beautifully described. I just need to process the casually read "Mushi déflorée" 😂

At least you can see that he has a problem with his name...

I just brought it up in the hope that he reads it, or that it gets passed on to him, and he thinks about it for a moment ☺️

@Gandix I agree with you, that's why I didn't bring up the advertising text here, but just focused on the scent. I definitely would have left it out too if I were in his shoes.

I still don't know if it's really necessary to mention the name of the attar in the advertisement. It would have been enough to say that it's an ancient attar. You know, a good scent speaks for itself, and such advertising attracts questionable audiences. I believe you when you say the scents are great, but it's just not my thing.

"Ambre Oud Royale is based on an old attar recipe called 'La Mushi déflorée'!" it says on the website ;-) So he can't be blamed for the rather questionable name. @Gandix

@Gandix The name of the attar formula doesn't actually come from him..

Wow! Whale, cat, deer, cocoa. This oud scent is far beyond my imagination, and with descriptions like: "the creation is based on an old attar recipe called 'La Mushi déflorée'," one has to wonder if the guys are just having a laugh. Well, given the absurd limitation of 100ml, there's certainly no risk of me running into it, but it does spark curiosity.

I think the name of the formula is way off. You really shouldn't take the texts on the homepage too seriously ;-) @Mairuwa

Starts spicy-silvery-fresh (pepper, cardamom), before a slightly dirty-salty amber emerges, moving through animalic musk. Dry, dark cocoa adds depth. Then an exciting antagonism begins between sweet amber and leathery Burmese oud, supported by civet pheromones, while the Thai oud has a meaty, incense-like quality. Overall, it remains transparent, woody-leathery-resinous, and minimally animalic until the end. It subtly changes from one wear to the next, suggesting high-quality, natural ingredients. Really good!
