Oof this one sounds amazing @CivetOnly - boozy, chocolate, leather, tobacco are all calling my name!
If you're testing German indies, will you also be getting your nose on Dark Chocolate Wood by Duftanker MGO Duftmanufaktur? Sooo curious about that one 👀
@CivetOnly yeah that's way too much, especially for a blind-buy 😅
I'm crossing my fingers some user in Europe will decant/put up a split for Dark Chocolate Wood here on the Souk; so even if I can't access it (being across the pond), I'll be able to experience it vicariously through your nose 🤞
Look forward to reading about anything else you test along this scent profile!
@Gourmandgrl I was looking into Duftanker ouds. Dark Chocolate Wood is only available via ebay, currently sitting at 384,00€ for 30ml lol. So that's a no-go, but I'm planning on testing more things adjacent to this scent profile, so stay tuned!
@Longevity it is the choco-leathery-tobacco endgame for sure. Everything we enjoy about Tabac, Cadenza, Falcon etc; merged together, with the quality of materials turned up to 11. Pricey as fuck of course, but I daresay for a good reason.
@Longevity I’m getting a bottle once Tabac Libre runs dry! It has a similar boozy, fruity tobacco, combined with Boccanera’s bitter, slightly earthy chocolate. There’s a touch of Cadenza opulence as well (spiced smoky myrrh) but without the screechy synthetics. Oh and I’m getting a boundless adjacent touch too (orangey chocolate powder?) but the structure leans balsamic-oily, not powdery.
@StinkSultan yes, and I'll be ordering more samples soon. I was curious to see whether the quality of materials was justifies the price. It most certainly does!
@Ceesie not at all, it's got the faintest touch of smoke from castoreum. Not too sweet either, imagine Tabac Libre with dark chocolate and soft leather.
