In the balsamic-fresh lavender breeze
kittens and beavers
frolic through magnificent rose fields
in spicy-smoky earth
over dry oud woods

Lavender and rose? I'd rather not.

But it was surprisingly pleasant to wear and was even quite well-rounded 馃槼馃グ

You summarized it very nicely. Great that someone else noticed the high-quality rose oil selection too!

Thank you very much!
I find the Taif oil very noticeable here. And as already mentioned, the quality is outstanding.
Simply great!

Interesting, it seems that the beaver note and less leatheriness make a difference here, especially since you pick up more rose. I'm also curious to see if there's a strong difference when I test my second EO 1 that highlights one version more.

I think I wouldn't like 99% of your fragrances 馃ぃ馃檲

Yes, I think so too. The Artisan's are definitely in a different league-one you really have to want.

Price-wise, I already have 1-2 fragrances that play in this league, but those are one-hit wonders from that house. With Ensar, my list would already be much longer. I think it's best to keep my hands off for as long as possible.

I'm slowly realizing that this is exactly my world. But financially, I just can't see it yet. However, testing is a lot of fun for me and really helps me develop my nose further.

I can't really contribute to the EO 1 discussion. However, I thought this one was really good, especially with the sharp lavender opening. I do like lavender. But I wouldn't have a hard time picking a "better" one from EO. :-)

Sultani opens with a sharp-fresh, slightly balsamic lavender note that almost completely dominates the opening. However, the lavender is very well done. A hint of civet and castoreum animalic notes quickly find their place, making the scent feel a bit darker and more serious. Over time, the lavender softens and intertwines, resulting in a very pleasant fragrance. The roses come through beautifully as it develops, adding a bit of brightness and smoothing out some edges. The oud woods have a somewhat smoky-earthy quality but are also intensely dry-woody. I don鈥檛 pick up any leather, but I don鈥檛 mind that.

Then, there are lovely mineral notes from the amber that take a few hours to emerge. For me, this was the "first" EO 1 test, and I find it very successful. I really enjoy the scent and its progression.
