Wow, finally one from Ensar Oud that I really like!
Many thanks to Nick for the sample of EO N°4 from Ensar Oud :-) Finally, I got to sniff a fragrance from Ensar Oud that I really like - Hallelujah! The longevity is quite solid at around 6 to 8 hours, and the sillage is not overwhelming but acceptable.
Looking at the fragrance pyramid, I am really glad that the carob tree was mentioned. Otherwise, I would never have thought that it smells like a carob liqueur to me. I once brought back a lot of carob from Croatia and made my own "Rogač" liqueur. The top note smells very much like that, but also like rock candy, sweet, dried plums, and a bit of plantain syrup. The heart note offers a combination of cola vibes and Cockta (a Slovenian cola-like drink with alpine herbs). In the background, there are still floral hints. The base smells dark, sweet, but also woody with bourbon vanilla, amber, oud, and a bit of tobacco.
Yes, this is an exceptionally interesting fragrance. I even still have some Rogač liqueur on hand - I think I'll treat myself to a "Budele".
