For me, this was the most unharmonious of the four from the Jamaican Ambergris line, which does have a clearly recognizable common DNA. The dense discordant note I got (animalic, humid, carrion-green) was probably a mix of amber, oud, and jasmine. We wish the deer bon appétit ;D
You're creating a very surreal painting here... The picture would definitely find a place on my wall, but the scent would probably fade into oblivion...
There are definitely a few from the brand that don't sit well with me. Not everything can please everyone. I imagine it’s quite flat, lacking depth in the base. I always wanted to test it, but my interest has completely faded, especially after your take. I trust your opinion and Caligari's nose here.
Thanks to Cfr. I'm really disappointed. Rarely with Ensar. The quality is as always, but I'm mostly getting salty amber without balsamic depth, glue-like sandalwood resins, powdery floral notes, sour rose, and (as Caligari described below) strange carbonic notes - I suspect they come from the vetiver with the lavender. Hardly any oud, very little musk. It feels dusty and flat to me.
If you don't like it, it must really be a hassle. 😅
