I was a bit worried about the honey, but it's very subtle and just a light layer, rather than a real player. Rosemary is quite prominent.
The gardenia accord from the white flowers gets a little embellishment from the other blooms.
The musk is a bit darker and dirtier in character than some other types of musk, but not as strict as Siberian musk can be. It emphasizes the floral heart more. For me, the musk could be a bit stronger, but that will probably happen as my sample is still fresh and hasn't shown the full power of musk and oud yet.
I find the base intriguing because different nuances emerge. Sometimes the brighter sandalwood, sometimes the aquatic-mineral quality of the Suriranka ouds, and sometimes a slight leatheriness from one of the Malaysian ouds. Just the purple touch from the other Malaysian...
I’m really curious to see how the empty sample bottle will smell in a few weeks, whether the musk will become too strong at the end or if it will continue to round things off nicely, just even better.
For now, I’m giving it an 8.5 with a tendency to go up, because I do like it, but I’d prefer to wait and see how the musk and oud develop, whether they enhance the scent or detract from it a bit.
