Nha Trang, or The Oud Mecca

Apply one drop on your skin. Tell me, what do you smell?
Bitter, ancient wood.
Deeper. What do you smell?
Bitter, yet sweet. Powdery, somehow green, ancient wood.
I want you to inhale deeper than that.
Bitter-sweet dusted old wood. The kiss of the earth, a touch medicinal, the smell of rocks hit by the rain. The lightest touch of ceremonial incense, the illusion of old leather. Primordial, ancient. It puts me at ease and makes me forget myself. There's also something...I can't. My nose is numb, and so are my lips.
You've inhaled too close and too deep. It's fine. It is addicting, is it not?

If you tell me you love Oud, but never had the desire nor the curiosity to try old stock Nha Trang, be it oil or wood. You are lying. Now, tell me, what do you smell?

So well written. But the numb nose and lips make me fear a synthetic ingredient. I’ll sample it, though. Thanks.

There is no such thing as synthetics here. It is only one ingredient. Vietnamese Agarwood oil. I don't know why the review below mine is talking about the Attar and why there are pictures of the attar posted on this page. The numbness is a common phenomenon with very high-grade Agarwood oil due to the high content of sesquiterpenes. There has been much research on these. This is something else, which leaves the world of perfumery behind, as most know it. I hope that you get to try it one day.
