La Grande - exquisitely available at a proud price and worth every mark
Hardly anyone will know La Grande who did not grow up in the former GDR. And even there not everyone knew him, because he was only available for a lot of money in the Exquisit. Exquisite shops were boutiques for those who wanted and could put their East Marks into overpriced clothes and cosmetics. Away from the KONSUM or HO department stores, where there was the same thing everywhere. Inexpensive, but fashion, style and taste are usually far behind.
