After receiving a sample and testing it around for over a month, I caved and bought a full bottle! My first impressions when I received it were "this is so weird" but I kept smelling it and smelling it and smelling... you get the point, it was a challenge but it was addicting! This was maybe my first time going from "what the hell" to full buy.
I fell in love with it, started associating it more and more to the flowers I smelled in the streets while walking my dog. To flowers in the heat of summer, just pulsating with their sweetness and at the same time their plant bitterness. It was a wonderful nostalgic experience and it became a ritual to spritz some Florilegium before a walk.
I haven't worn it much in my daily casual life, much less for work. I didn't wear it because it felt so sacred to me, I needed to save every drop for those moments by myself. Now that I have a full bottle in my hands, I don't know what's next. It's a challenging fragrance, don't be fooled! It's not a crowd pleaser but I think if someone is interested in this kinds of perfumes, that's not a deterrent at all.
Florilegium feels primal and ancient. I can't stop but think of my conceptions Ancient Rome and Greece festivities and nature, although they didn't even have tuberose back then. It's not for everyone for sure but it's such a personal fragrance to me.
Now after testing all of Extra Virgo's collection, my eyes are set for a full bottle of Vesta next!
