I have tested three dupes of "Grand Soir | Maison Francis Kurkdjian" so far, and this candidate here is potentially my favorite.
The scent I initially liked but can no longer stand is Eternal Oud. Nevertheless, it holds true: those who already own the Lattafa do not need the Fragrance World. They are simply too similar, even though the Soir appears less piercing and not as spicy. Ultimately, they share the same DNA, which is to be expected since both clone the same fragrance.
As with the Lattafa, the Soir reveals its direction right from the first spray. You are immediately enveloped by a sweet, powdery cloud of amber and vanilla. Although lavender, pepper, and mandarin are listed in the top notes, and the mandarin is indeed subtly perceivable up close, the impression in the air is: a sweet, powdery, resinous character that closely resembles Grand Soir.
The scent progression is relatively linear. It mostly remains an amber-vanilla fragrance that may become a bit woodier but does not really change significantly.
Longevity and sillage are slightly above average. The original is definitely a tad stronger.
Overall, a nice unisex fragrance that can be worn equally by both genders (W50%/50%M). However, the prerequisite is that one has a preference for very resinous compositions. I personally appreciate it a lot, but I have to be in the right mood for it; it is definitely not a perfume for every day. With the cooling temperatures, the perfect season for the "Soir" is now upon us.
