Outlaw Gentleman's Nod 2024

Woody scent with a bit of bite
I reviewed Lawman a couple of days ago which, to me, was an easy reach sandalwood fragrance. I'd classify Outlaw as a similar easy reach and versatile however with a cedar emphasis. Outlaw noticeably has a bite, edge, or sharpness to it which I attribute to the cedar wood. It lacks the creaminess and smoothness Lawman has due to sandalwood.
Outlaw, however, doesn't go to cedar extremes - there's no pencil shavings or hamster bedding type of scent. I pick up pleasant vanilla and some resin-y attributes which temper the cedar. Overall, a very nice, versatile and masculine fragrance.
Performance was good, similar to Lawman in longevity and projection. Price is quite reasonable.

Oh cool, I might have to try this out - I love the smell of a real plank of cedar wood. Would you say it's more cedar or more vetiver? Would love to find a strong, straight-up cedar scent that didn't feel like vetiver . . .

It was more cedar to my nose. If you want something heavy on cedar, try sampling Guerlain's Bois Mysterieux. Read my review of it. After dry down, it was straight hamster bedding or cedar mulch. I didn't care for it, but if you are looking for that scent, give it a try.
