An Afternoon in the Café in Winter
As soon as the door to the café opens, an almost overwhelming sugary-sweet scent of pastries and vanilla greets us. Compared to the cold and fresh air that had just been playing around our noses, this is quite a challenge. But we quickly get used to the sweet aromas wafting from the bakery, and we feel comfortable and at home. Now and then, a few spices mix into the sugary sweetness, which by now is no longer so prominent. It somewhat reminds me of licorice, which I don't particularly like, but here it somehow fits well.
We lean back and enjoy the warm and cozy atmosphere in the café. We don't stay too long, but perhaps we'll come back soon!
After I sprayed the fragrance, I was a bit worried that it might be too overpowering for me. The first five minutes felt very gourmand-sweet, bordering on headache territory. But then the scent calms down very quickly. It remains sweet, and a light spiciness is added, but now it is already significantly closer to the skin, which I find quite appealing for such sweet fragrances!
It doesn't last forever, but just long enough to provide cozy warmth for an extended walk in winter temperatures.
Where other gourmands hit with a sledgehammer, this one comes with a wool blanket and vanilla pastries.
I like it!

Bei Düften die recht eindeutig in die süß-gourmandige Richtung gehen, finde ich eine dezentere H/S eigentlich auch mal ganz angenehm. 😊
