From the Bathtub to the Office
Wednesday. Bath day. I remember that in my childhood - after a ultimately unsuccessful, albeit heated discussion with my mother about the necessity of basic personal hygiene - it always brought me great pleasure to generously distribute the viscous contents of a bottle of "Pine Needle" bath foam into the slowly filling tub. This was the essence of bath-time fun. Once the container, not unlike those of today's fabric softeners, had been emptied to a certain extent, it was time to linger a bit in the dark green emulsion and wait for three handbreadths of foam to settle. Afterwards, I would attentively watch as the tub's contents gurgled away down the drain. The inevitable question of whether I had washed myself properly everywhere was answered with eager nodding while wrapped in a thick terry towel.
The scent of the bubble bath lingered in the bathroom the next morning. Green, shifting, slightly balsamic. This foundational tone is also present in Encens Flamboyant. I mean this in an absolutely favorable way. I perceive the opening of the fragrance as pleasantly unexcited. A bright smoky note, at best identifiable in nuances as incense, is restrainedly sacred, slightly earthy, and socially compatible. Following this, the aroma of fresh pine needles subtly overlays, providing a pleasant, intimate experience. Shimmering green nuances alternate with the bouquet of fine, brittle wood. After a while, a gentle, balsamic base note remains, lingering and discreet.
Encens Flamboyant exudes a restrained, calming aura and conveys a sense of security. Whether in the morning when spraying it on, or later in the office. A fine companion.

Ah, how lovely it was... and today we're wallowing in all sorts of gourmand slime... yuck!
I really enjoyed reading this.
P.S. For me, it was Saturday.
Of course, pine needle in a 5-liter bucket...
I love the scent of the forest... Probably (also) because of bath day!
You mean Badedas, right? That stuff was wonderful :o)
Just the memory deserves a test!
