far behind the chapel
in the resinous forest
stands a little man
happily smoking away
dreaming of balm
at peace within himself

Yes, very pleasant, though it could be a bit stronger...

Are these the wooden figures from the Erzgebirge?

I don't think so, he's wearing a green loden coat and you could mistake him for a fir tree...

I always like incense... Maybe it's too meditative for me? Sounds interesting.

I can generally understand that, but this one, despite the church incense, doesn't feel church-like at all to me. It's more of a classic smoky forest...

I can't really wear it as a perfume. I always think "church ✝, church." I just don't want to... I actually really like the smell in the church itself. But why walk around all day smelling like a church interior?

A lot of incense and sweet spices (cardamom in the foreground), woody notes, and lovely fir balsam don't feel church-like to me at all; instead, they paint a forest-without green, but still warm. It does have a smoky quality, but the resins dominate. Monothematic, yet very pleasant. There's something meditative about it.
