Like being possessed by a very kind ghost

First thing to hit the nose is a distant fruity sweetness (more peach than pear), and then immediately – grass. A moment of excitement. An unexpectedly realistic and pleasant surprise. Then I notice the petals. As rose petals grow stronger, I lose sight of the grass and my excitement soon fizzles out.

The sillage is pretty intimate – obediently stays an arm's length away from the wearer. Pretty sweet, but soft and subdued. Unintrusive. Musk rose and chalky sugar candy – faintly fruity in a way where you're never quite sure which exact flavor it is, even if you're willing to swear pink tastes somewhat different from blue.

Very... youthful? Or, rather, youth-friendly? A type of scent I imagine a beloved elementary school teacher would wear. A young woman fresh out of college with a rich family that financially supports her so that she could approach her passion job without worry. A safe and friendly adult every kid would run to with their problems.

Such an odd and kind scent. Very much not for me.

Takes ~1,5 hours to completely settle on skin. Throughout that time slowly gets sweeter and sweeter. The same peculiar chalky rose. It is lovely, but it's also starting to really grate on my nerves. Which is unfortunate, because it's quite clingy. Takes ~4 more hours to fade out somewhat. Not entirely, it just finally gets soft and airy again. Like recently washed very old cotton bedding from great grandmother's closet. It's not necessarily bad – just eerie. Like a ghost from an entirely different era I thought would remain forever lost.

In another hour rose fizzles out entirely. Chalky musk lingers for about ~3 hours more. I am left puzzled and filled with feelings I can't quite put my finger on. A very interesting experience. Now I shall proceed to never touch it again with a ten foot pole.
