Lavendelblüte Harry Lehmann

French Lavender Honey
In the initial phase, the lavender is beautifully present and quite true to nature. I look forward to the scent development and am curious about which notes will carry the lavender, preparing myself for a little guessing game, as unfortunately, there are no publications regarding the fragrance notes of Lehmann perfumes.
But what hits my nose shortly after surprises me, as this is the last thing I expected. Honey! I am quite sure of that, as I love honey and have tested many varieties throughout my life. Coincidentally, there is lavender flower honey, which is among the more expensive types of honey. So this combination is not far-fetched. The more I sniff the scent, the more present the imaginary honey bread becomes before my eyes. In the background, there is something slightly herbal, but it does not come through on my skin at all. I find myself again navigating through the imaginary herb garden in my mind, trying to remember which herb I still smell here. It could be a hint of mild mint, or thyme, or sage, or all three at once.
As time goes by, the scent becomes more syrupy. Now thyme honey comes to mind, which is often consumed during colds.
As much as I like the concept of Lehmann fragrances, "Lavender Blossom" unfortunately does not score any points with me, as the lavender is overwhelmed by the herbal honey and is so fleeting that it really disappoints me. Additionally, the longevity is not exactly impressive overall.
What a shame, what a shame, because I love lavender, but I do not like to take herbal honey for a walk.
P.S: Thank you, Apicius, for the sample.
