Lavendelblüte Harry Lehmann
Lavender with Sweetness
Lavender Blossom starts with a distinctly authentic lavender flower note - not the dried stuff in a sachet, but a blooming, blue-purple lavender field in southern France. However, the authentic lavender scent is limited to the top note: soon sweet notes join in, mixing with the lavender and at times even overshadowing it. I can definitely relate to Eternity's honey impression. However, I believe that the sweet, honey-like note is not a honey note, but is created through a combination of floral-sweet notes. I suspect honeysuckle, rose, and iris. It's a pity that Harry Lehmann apparently does not provide any information about the notes contained.
In any case, the lavender is quite overshadowed by the sweetness - no matter where it comes from - for quite some time. Only towards the base does it become more noticeable again. Since a bright wood note also appears (I too believe I can clearly identify cedar here), "Lavender Blossom" is less sweet in the base than in the heart note.
Lavender Blossom is, on one hand, an original lavender scent that feels very natural, especially at the beginning. On the other hand, I find the scent progression - especially the overly sweet middle part - somewhat uneven and inconsistent.
Thanks to ET and Apicius for the sample! I find the Lehmann company very interesting and will definitely visit the shop when I'm in Berlin again!

If you meet Lutz Lehmann in person at the store and ask him, he'll tell you the notes included in the fragrance.
