Anachronism

Main Notes:

deep, resinous purple-toned oud

smooth, slightly vanillic sandalwood

delicate, sensual, velvety deer musk

waxy & powdered orris

creamy & intoxicating florals:
jasmine, ylang, lotus, magnolia, rose

aged, balsam-drenched leather

smoky black walnut

Overall Thoughts:
i found it very hard to describe this fragrance, it took me almost a month, alongside some changes for me to be satisfied with it.
it’s such a complex composition, that’s blended to perfection, it is ethereal to smell.

• the florals are exotic & lush, i mainly get jasmine, ylang, & lotus. they give off a sort of creamy pink hue.

• the oud is rich, with a light purple undertone, it makes my head feel buzzy, making me want to smell it more.

• the orris is thick & powdery, it gives off a makeupy feel that pairs perfectly with the sensualness of the deer musk. it has some slight earthy/rooty tone as well.

• the deer musk is soft, with a vintage feel. while it lingers in the background in the opening, as it dries down, it almost takes over the composition.

• the sandalwood is dry & dusty, it has a vanilla like sweetness to it that plays into the orris.

• the leather is aged & worn, drenched in warm, heavy balsams.

• the walnut is earthy, smoky, yet has a rich sweetness. it shines in the opening, but fades as the fragrance dries.

I was expecting something totally different from anachronism, this just blew my mind.
such a unique & special fragrance to me. one of my absolute favorite fragrances, truly one of a kind.
