This scent is a powerful testament to the depth and complexity of oud and the full potential of natural fragrance.
On the surface it wears as you'd expect... A thick oily base-heavy spray built of musk, sandalwood, and loads of oud oil, with moderate projection and great longevity. However the real wonder is in how many facets emerge in the opening and heart of such a simple composition.
You can find grapes, huckleberry, champaca, incense, smoke, spice, and more, all wrapped in a warm blanket of musk and sandalwood. The scent is unmistakably purple, and all this from carefully selected and blended oud creating a chord that can never quite be repeated.
I consider this Heartistry's masterpiece, along with a couple others like Merciful Heart.
My favorite comment I got about this fragrance is "it smells familiar." There's something really comforting and nostalgic about it. It's perfect for an intimate occasion with someone you love.
Though it's become quite rare, if you're fortunate enough to find a bottle at a fair price I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. I'll be savoring it myself.
