When my in-laws' plum tree was still bearing plenty of fruit, I made jam by the kilo.
Cinnamon was an absolute must. Because cinnamon is like fairy dust when conjuring up a really good plum jam. Equally essential: A generous splash of rum or two or... Since I - back then as now - rarely had local rum at home, my good old friend from the Havana Club often had to step in to give the jam the right "kick." And my dear friend, I can tell you, it adds a very special aroma (by the way, also delicious in homemade rum balls).
What does this have to do with Heaven's Reserve? It's about the moment when the aforementioned ingredients start bubbling in the pot with the gelling sugar and the seeds of a vanilla pod, and this incredibly fruity, Christmas-spiced, and alcoholic scent fills the entire room. This very scent is bottled in Heaven's Reserve in a golden flacon. My homemade winter plum jam, which lies as a gift under the Christmas tree. Delicious!
However, it is more realistic that Angels' Share Eau de Parfum is the inspiration for this wonderful fragrance and not my jam.
Longevity and sillage are surprisingly good for a drugstore fragrance twin. The sprayer also mists incredibly finely.
