....just quickly popping into DM again. Savanna Heat is supposed to resemble my beloved Bal d'Afrique. I get a gentle, non-scratchy, pleasant, unobtrusive fragrance. Similarity to the original...I'd say 70 %. Sitting in the waiting room, I sniff my wrist, and there's something calming about it...I'm certainly not an anxious patient, but it has this effect in stressful everyday life (working through a to-do list, no downtime, there are simply days when one appointment chases the next) and that's exactly what it's right for. Briefly pause and ground yourself. For me, Pure Musc by Narciso Rodriguez and Lacoste pour femme have this effect, for example. Both different but with an effect. Clean, well-groomed, clearly structured, signature scent, the other like a loving embrace. Lacoste pour femme is meant as the latter. My mother's signature scent..But let's get back to Savanna Heat. After 30 minutes I get a dominant violet, a fresh blackcurrant and vetiver, it becomes a little herbal but in a beautiful way. Three hours later I still perceive it as subtly creamy. Conclusion...you can't go wrong with a purchase. I'm not being impolite when testing in the drugstore and was content with one spray. The rating would probably be even better after three sprays.
