Another successful fragrance from d'Orsay!
I have found another gem from d'Orsay with Etiquette Bleue, which I will probably buy at some point.
It is a wonderful everyday fragrance that also fits well into the warm season, as it has both citrus and spicy-woody notes along with aromatic notes.
I don't think Etiquette Bleue is an outright women's fragrance. I believe it would also suit men quite well!
The longevity is rated as good, with the perfume not being overpowering, but settling on the skin with pleasantly spicy and slightly powdery woody notes.
I also really like the combination of the somewhat sweet-smelling rosewood and honey here!
Right after application, when the scent is still moist on the skin, the bergamot, along with rosemary and citrus notes, is moderately present, fresh, and also a bit zesty.
Then, after a few minutes, myrrh, opoponax, sweetly fragrant orange blossom, and rosewood become noticeable.
These woody, somewhat smoky notes have a pleasant sweet softness that harmonizes very well with the other notes, leaving a nice velvety feel on the skin until the base note! In the base note, rosemary and bergamot recede a bit in intensity and are rather lightly perceptible.
In the base note, I can only detect a slight hint of amber. Mainly, Etiquette Bleue is carried in the base note by smoky opoponax, sweet-woody rosewood, and myrrh.
Very, very lightly, orange blossom and rosemary can also be sniffed, with hardly any of the freshness from the top note remaining.
Definitely worth a test!
