a bit shabby,
her cheeks smeared with soot,
hidden in an amber cave.
Stroke her vanilla-soft hair.

Once upon a time...
Es war einmal,
Coty released a beautiful amber fragrance in a charming Lalique bottle.
Well, it’s been a while since I shattered my copy, and the memory is distant.
This one smells a bit vintage,
it’s not an exact reissue.
The scent is lightly Chypre-tinged,
which creates this retro impression.
Amber and flowers one might say,
but here it’s iris,
where other flowers used to be,
lighter, airier in the old days, but this suede iris here
is no less beautiful.
The new one is heavier,
a bit vanilla-sweet,
but not too sweet.
Slightly smoky,
with just the right amount of suede.
Soot is now rather exaggerated,
but the scent has something romantic,
that reminds me of fairy tales,
hence the choice of words.
A very successful reinterpretation for me for all,
who like iris with vanilla amber,
and cozy scents.
In the base perhaps closer to Shalimar,
than to the old Coty amber,
with a subtle leather patina,
and a little bit shabby.
The bottle here is also a dream.
