I admit that this only flew on my radar because I saw a video from Josephine (Jus de Rose) on Tiktok. She was raving about it, calling this the ideal vanilla. So off I went to order a 2 ml sample. When I sprayed it I was pleasantly surprised. A slight cupcake accord from the bourbon vanilla with powderiness from the vanilla orchid, although the overall scent is not completely gourmand. Now, because of this perfume, I am intrigued by any fragrance where vanilla orchid is listed. There is a slight woodiness that is pleasant from the Peru balsam. Overall this perfume has an ethereal vibe. 2 sprays from the sample on my wrist and it had decent projection. I thought about ordering a full bottle but saw the price. However, several weeks later, I have a discount code from Liberty London and an upcoming birthday, so this is my 31st birthday present to myself.
This smells like a fresher version of Maison Margiela's Whispers in the Library / Alt Fragrances 'Novel', which are also powdery, slightly boozy vanillas.
