Electrum Jawharat Aloud

I only recently discovered Jawharat Aloud and ordered a tola of an oud in this context. A characteristic feature of this brand is that quite a few of the ouds are extracted in Borneo. I like this very much because I prefer this origin, you could almost call it provenance with a wink. Ouds from there are, for me, olfactory art. Quite a few ouds generally smell formidable, but cannot captivate on their own in the long term and have to be incorporated into a fragrance composition. But not this Borneo specimen.

Electrum can be another word for amber. If you had to describe this oud in one word, you could use amber.
A delicate melting, sweet, golden, palatable. This is sometimes immediately apparent, sometimes the scent initially resembles rosin, which is not that far apart. This varied depending on the test. In any case, however, both olfactory images combine so that this note, which is reminiscent of lacquer, is absorbed into the amber.

This goes on for a long time, inviting you to linger in this Oudlysium. This work now shimmers in many different facets, an ambery oud kaleidoscope. Nevertheless, I like Candan Surga better, it is more powerful. But I can recommend Electrum without reservation. Perhaps 7.75/10 would be more appropriate as a rating in my cosmos, but 8/10 out of sympathy.
