*Jinkoh's response to the genre that established Russian Oud, the cocoa-oud "gourmand." It starts with dust-dry cocoa, finely sifted over somewhat animalic Assam oud. There are very light barnyard vibes in the background, no harsher musk-animalic notes like in Russian Oud. The musk here only supports the individual components, acting as a fixative and adding a creamy-warm note in the drydown. Over time, it becomes a bit sweeter, resinous, and leathery due to the oud. Tobacco associations awaken, dry hay, a hint of spice. At some point, it develops into a creamy-resinous-spicy-leathery blend of cocoa and oud that is still clearly noticeable the next day. A fantastic scent for winter, much better than Russian Oud (whether 1 or 2), you couldn't wish for more from this direction. The Sunset line from Jinkoh impresses once again.
