Unbridled Passion

This divine masterpiece has nestled deeply in my heart. I have been completely infatuated with this scent since 1986! No other perfume has achieved this with me to date.
I can still vividly remember the fresh KL Homme Splash from back then.
At first, I was breathless for 3 seconds after applying it due to the aldehydes? In the top notes, I sense bergamot, dried mandarin/orange peel, and rosewood. Something slightly reminds me of clove. Then comes an absolute unique creation. A chord, beyond good and evil. I hold both palms under my nose and breathe deeply. A sharp cinnamon note lightly tingles in my nose. I breathe in again, deeper. I need to feel this tingle once more. But it keeps drifting away and remains unreachable. Wow! This chord is hard to describe. I suspect a combination of cinnamon leaves, citrus notes with cedarwood, maybe there's benzoin in there? What a brilliant show! Next, vanilla and amber can be distinctly perceived. Something about it reminds me of a sweet rose. At this stage, a feeling of bliss arises within me. Slowly, the base notes join in.
The vanilla then becomes dustier. Overall, it gets dustier and soapier. Benzoin, cinnamon, rosewood, civet, cedarwood, and castoreum now accompany me throughout the rest of the day. The next day, my shirt collar pleasantly smelled of a mix of dusty vanilla, rosewood, and castoreum.

The base smells uniquely good and is addictive! In fact, the entire fragrance is an addiction.
KL Homme is a multifaceted experience.

This is how I feel KL Homme:
Its top notes suddenly overwhelm my senses.
Its heart notes create complete bliss within me. Arrived in paradise!
Its base notes gently awaken me from this trance and captivate me!
I feel the urge to apply KL again to enjoy all the chords once more.

My sorrow over its discontinuation cannot be put into words.

I cannot understand why the rights holders let the formula gather dust and do not monetize it. It would definitely sell well. Just the lovers of KL would ensure that no bottle would end up as a shelf warmer.

A heartfelt thank you to the creator of KL Homme and Sir Karl Lagerfeld!
Your composition was and is a true enrichment of the senses.

I can totally understand your enthusiasm. I'm still mourning it too. For me, it's an absolute masterpiece. Back then and now!
