KL Karl Lagerfeld 1982 Parfum

Of course, my "KL" fragrance collecting passion back then also included the perfume.

After the Eau de Toilette in various sizes up to the silver-shimmering travel bottle, everything for washing, bathing, and moisturizing - we must not forget the dusting of the bathroom with the loose body powder - it could not be Christmas without a perfume bottle of my then favorite scent being elegantly wrapped and waiting for me.

I must honestly admit that the small bottle with the 7.5 ml filling appears much more balanced, proportionate, and simply charming than the large one for 15 ml.
I had already noticed this with the perfume of my "Chloé".
Therefore, this small fan-like work of art is also allowed to house the golden glitter pieces from the 1992 production of "Traumtheater Salomé"!

I sniffed the large bottle once more with pleasure and must once again state: this scent is pure lived luxury even as a perfume!
The spices, flowers, and woods are more pronounced in the perfume than in the EdT; Ylang-Ylang sprays many golden sparks again, and only the exotic elegance of the orchid is new in the circle of these most beautiful scent spirits.
It integrates very harmoniously into the entire fragrance structure.
Thus, the base can also afford to only enhance its incredible scent expressiveness.
It needs no additional components.
Everything else has already been balanced and expressed appealingly to all senses by Karl Lagerfeld in the EdT version.

Sillage and longevity were fully appropriate for this fragrance beauty; "KL" as a perfume was worn completely and for hours. Without regret, as it did not change.
It remained true to itself - until the last moment!
This last moment was often also the first for a fresh perfume application; thus, a fragrant cycle closed here!

The perfume is opulent, luxurious all around, and really a little bit decadent!
However, it is not surprising with the man and the fan; back then, this was still a novelty - I remember it well!
Karl Lagerfeld appeared with the fan after the show on the runway - shocking?!

I would rather not wish for a reissue of this sensual fragrance pleasure.
My mind and my experiences tell me that this time would only lead to disappointment.
So I prefer to keep this beloved companion of my younger years in memory as it was:
of true beauty, sensually radiant, and generously wasting the existing charms!
