Ylang Ylang & Musk Label 2020

What fun we had! I will never forget this wonderful, local rock and punk bar on my favorite island. Our annual escape from the tourist hustle and bustle there. It was run by musicians. Idealists. Not much money came in, but they clearly enjoyed pouring beer and playing music. Wishes were always welcome. And it worked. Even though we hardly spoke any Spanish back then. With hands and feet. We were connected through our shared taste in music.

One evening, the young Spaniard who ran the bar wore an incredibly fascinating scent. A musk fragrance. Delicately dirty, yet still peachy creamy. And floral in the base. A plethora of delicate flowers that combined with the musk to create a captivating aura. Expensive niche fragrances were not yet in fashion in 2004/2005 and would have certainly exceeded his financial means. I wouldn’t have been able to ask questions either. The language barrier was simply too great. A musk oil combined with a floral sun lotion could fit and bring this wonderful olfactory magic to life.

With Ylang Ylang & Musk from Label, this fantastic scent aura is back. Soft yet present. Lightly floral-dirty, yet fascinatingly soft and beautiful. Rounded off with a gentle magnolia and ylang-ylang note. Almost a bit hippie-like to my nose.

For dreamers and lovers of the extraordinary. And for men who dare to smell like flowers. Magical. Most certainly.
