You Lift Me to the Sky

- but immediately pull me down to hell.

Meluzyna is one of those fragrances that approaches the wearer with a strong presence - really making an impact. There is a strong emphasis felt. Both on the chest and in the nose, and it has already firmly grasped my thoughts from the very beginning. Although not in a positive way.

For me, Meluzyna is an unbearable perfume to which I find no connection. It starts off quite delicately, whispering something peaceful into your ear, lifting gently into the sky, amidst dark clouds that are just waiting to finally release their burden and let the black rain pour down with full force onto the withered earth. It features a very original note of cinnamon, which, in my opinion, mischievously combines with cumin and rich leather.
Interesting and attention-grabbing, but the joy doesn’t last long, as you plummet into the depths, through all the black clouds, into the warm, black void. There, it smells terribly burnt. It is also very cloying. Sweat beads trickle down - all bodily fluids seem to condense and thicken. Immediately, a picture comes to mind where the hands are full of lard, and all these impressions that Meluzyna has mix with this lard. Extremely greasy and very intrusive. You won’t get rid of it easily.

Over time, the scent becomes like a heavy, resinous tone that sinks into the endless, dark sea and seems unable to resurface, but that is a mistake, as it keeps coming back around the corner to hit me again. A lot of pepper and something "seaweed-like" in the background. From the shadows. Additionally, a shallow note of fir wood hisses in the base, swirling around the smoky atmosphere and leaving everything hazy behind.

A lot of wet earth wraps around the head and presents itself as distinctly muddy. This is how Meluzyna breathes. Almost gasping... The fragrance definitely takes away the air to breathe, and the senses don’t know where to go, faced with such strange and surreal impressions.
Longevity on my skin is massive, it burrows in as if it intends to stay here forever. The sillage is almost all-encompassing. But maybe I’m just imagining it, as it plays with negative thoughts and one seems to be overwhelmed in some way.

Respect to those who can and want to wear something like this! For me, it is nothing, and I am glad when the scent is out of my reach.

Simply consistent in its portrayal of a creepy legend.
Great, I've always wanted to amuse my surroundings with lard and seaweed.
A perseverance trophy from me! 🏆

I didn't think it was bad; I think it's the best from the house.

That makes me a bit scared to read it!
Definitely not without the marine notes.
Not wrong ;)

Without knowing the scent, I can really imagine it well thanks to your great description. Awesome!

I think the theme of Melusine is excellently executed here; I also don't believe the fragrance aimed for anything other than to be a work of art. It definitely doesn't want to be pleasing ;-)

This seems more like a "scent" than a perfume to me. I can almost hear it, imagining it: slurping sounds, bubbling, and the smell of stagnant mud in a dark forest puddle.

Great how vividly and forcefully you express your negative impressions on paper! It gives me chills a bit, but I'm impressed by your review!

I can usually handle quirky and challenging scents pretty well, and the first three from Le Frag are definitely interesting, but something seems to have gone wrong here...

Just because of the cinnamon, the other notes take a backseat for me. Definitely very intriguing.

Scent 4 and longevity 10 is definitely a killer combination... I wonder if you can wash it off with lard, coffee grounds, and rubbing alcohol?

I felt a bit grossed out by pig fat and algae. No thanks, I don't want to test that.

For me, the cinnamon note would probably be the most challenging. It doesn't sound like an easy fragrance, but that kind of thing sometimes intrigues me.

Phew, cloying, stuffy, greasy, seaweed-like... and then also overwhelming... I'm totally out.
The brand is really something special... Try Genesis, it's like a strawberry field full of pee *yikes*

Clear words. Everything has its limits. And this really sounds quite borderline and nasty...!
