Carry Your Horse from the Veranda
Don't worry about me, I always manage. This morning I woke up in a bubblegum bubble, one I've always wanted, where hoarse croaking vultures fly, one where bright flowers float, sweating like green South Sea lemons and sticking to the ceiling when they burst. Hey hop, what a life this will be! Even if the flowers are slowly wilting, they only bite when attacked. I'm still taking walks with Mr. Nilsson in it, smearing the remaining plums upside down, with Konrad's special glue on the soles. There's still a trunk haunting the attic, inside lies Ephraim's tobacco crown and a few clouds of vanilla from my mom.
What do I need these huge shoes for? Well, what do you think I need them for? So I don't always fall forward when I carry my horse from the veranda. All that leather fat, Little Uncle's hair, that's how the villa has smelled for many years. Yes, time passes, you start to get old, in a few minutes the shoes will be ten hours old. So stay outside or come inside. As you wish. I force no one.

Miguel Matos, artist, curator, and art journalist from Lisbon, is known for his unusual, bold, and sometimes very controversially discussed fragrance creations. An exception was "Young Hearts" in 2019, a bright green-spicy scent he developed for Bruno Acampora, for which he received the Art and Olfaction Award in the Independent category in 2020.
With "Pippilotta," however, Matos is back in his unconventional element, working carelessly and playfully, giving the mainstream a long nose. The opening features popping bubblegum bubbles of slightly funky light jasmine, citrus-spicy clary sage, and intensely sharp orange blossoms. The musk even briefly introduces a slightly fecal note, which quickly disappears under the dark, fruity plum that, along with the woody-tobacco-like amber and a hint of dark vanilla, forms a pleasant counterpoint to the rough flowers. However, the leather note is absolutely dominant in the fragrance, somewhere between saddle room, horse stable, and Tierowa leather fat. Loud and rebellious is Pippilotta, wild smells the veranda of her villa. But if you dare, it's still wearable.

But you're wrong about one thing, Pippi will never grow old.
Open-mindedness, your name is Pippi L.
I don't think it's really my thing; and back in the day, it was also "the horse in the hallway": Maybe I've just "outgrown" this trend?
But thanks for this renewed reading pleasure.
Your story honors Pippilotta and her crew.
I loved being on the porch.
I’d dare to wear it just for the beautiful bottle alone!
And then I'll add the scent to my wish list. You can wish for it after all. Who knows…
I’ll make the world the way I like it.
It was fun to read. Best regards!
GRANDIOSE .. all of it!! I just have to get up :D:D
Matos is quite creative, but I see this more as a concept fragrance.
Colorfully brilliant review!!
And I'm sure I would develop a passionate dislike for this Pippilotta.
The composition sounds challenging.
Matos is definitely interesting in his own way... just not really my style. If he happens to pass by, I’ll of course (out of curiosity) give him a sniff, but only then.
Crazy… 😄🫰🏻👍🏻
