Cola Oud
This is my first fragrance with real Oud!
I really have to admit that I have rarely, if ever, encountered such a deep, complex, and unique scent!
About the fragrance:
When I sniff the bottle, I get 100% the scent of Cola; I have no idea where this comes from! ️
But I don’t mind, or even quite like it, because I enjoy drinking Coca Cola and find the scent pleasant (as long as it’s not overwhelmingly present), which makes it easier for me to get to know this very mature and dark woody fragrance and give it a chance!
After about 5 minutes, the Iris and Patchouli slowly begin to unfold their strength.
Very pleasant and always natural in scent character!
Yes, even the Cola notes seem, as silly as it sounds, natural to me!
This lasts for about 15-20 minutes until the Cambodian and Indian Oud used here unleash their full power and overpower all the previous notes.
Also, my beloved Cola is now gone (thankfully, otherwise I would find it too much).
Now to the Oud:
As I said, after about 20 minutes, all the aforementioned notes have disappeared; it smells very strongly of dark, fresh wood. When I go to the spot where I applied it, it comes across slightly sweet and more like leather in scent character!
The longer I smell that spot, the more it seems to me that the fragrance changes, sometimes mossy or even fruity; different facets keep flashing that I thought I could no longer perceive!
I have really never experienced anything like this, and I must honestly admit that this surely doesn’t bode well for my wallet, because, as far as I’ve heard, Oud can get very, very expensive!
According to the manufacturer, the Oud content is over 50% from 2 different types of Oud, namely Cambodian and Indian Oud!
It’s a pity that the brand apparently doesn’t produce much and is so unknown to us!
