Mushrooms and Damp Soil!
Beast of Bray Road delivered a very pleasant and unusual surprise. I did see that the notes included mushrooms and earth but I was definitely not expecting it to smell Exactly as so.
Upon opening I get an intense whiff of wet mushrooms somewhere beneath the leaves, almost as if you just pulled one right out of the soil after slicing it off at the base.
Then you get hit with the earth. The earth/soil note is very strong and realistic, which left me very excited for a while. Could not stop being in awe of how realistic it smelled. It also reminds of wet almost rotting leafage/greenery (in a nice way).
Something in there also gives me a strong hint of wetness, which is nice considering the other notes im getting.
The dry-down could be considered as slightly nasty to some, as you will be getting a waft of straight dirt from time to time (the mushroom note does not stay for too long). This is not a negative for me however.
There are also obviously quite a few other notes in there but I do not have a comment on any of them specifically (the woodiness is nice).
Very nice oil!
