First of all: I don't know the original. I ordered the fragrance blind and didn't like it at first... after it sat for a few weeks, I suddenly like it very much! It is sweet and fruity, and I can clearly smell the orange blossom and raspberry. Longevity and sillage are really top-notch.
I agree with you, and I even had the original in a bottle, which I actually sold. Nowadays, the "replica" fragrances are really good, and most "laypeople" can't even tell the olfactory difference anyway.
