Quite well done but in the end nothing special

Many thanks to my best friend Agron for the bottling of Saint-Michel :-) I don't find this fragrance bad as an everyday fragrance. However, it is a little too expensive for me as it doesn't deliver anything special in my eyes. The longevity on my skin is actually good at around 10 hours, but it smells very close to the skin after just a few hours. I therefore find the sillage correspondingly mediocre.

To be honest, I can't do much with the fragrance pyramid, as the whole thing smells different to me. The top note starts off sweet and gourmand but also synthetic. I recognize caramel with a hint of nutmeg and cardamom. The heart note remains sweet with a Christmas and oriental touch. The base offers a creaminess with woody notes. Sandalwood, tonka beans and bourbon vanilla should be mentioned here.

In the end, I am more perplexed than satisfied. I'm almost inclined to say: boring...But it's not a failed fragrance...So quite okay in conclusion...
