Clean, fresh opening for summer with a woody finish
Even the first spray spreads a very clean and bright lemon, which initially feels very cool in combination with mint. The subtly used saffron takes away the initial sour freshness from the fragrance and gives it a slightly sweet twist.
Such a twist can also be found in the heart of the fragrance. The spicy nutmeg is contrasted by ambroxan, which adds more smoothness and a creamy-soft touch to the scent. The lemon-mint combination is surprisingly long-lasting and keeps popping up for me. The base with patchouli and vetiver also integrates beautifully into the scent progression. This allows Vertigo 236 to develop in a pleasantly light woody direction, accompanied by spicy patchouli and vetiver.
Vertigo 236 impressed me especially with the interplay of lemon and mint. This combo has been executed extremely well here. I initially had concerns about the saffron. It is currently very trendy and, in my opinion, is often used too dominantly in many fragrances. Fortunately, that was not the case with this scent.
