The Floral Jasmine Scent in Flamingo Feathers

I received a sample set of Gebauer fragrances and, with great anticipation, went straight for the Orange Flamingo ... I was curious about the much-praised orange scent that is highlighted in the perfume name and in many reviews and statements.

Upon the first spray, the orange is indeed present (but only very subtly) and gives the fragrance a certain freshness and zesty note at the outset. Unfortunately, this impression fades quite quickly.
After the first few minutes, the scent develops into a very linear, floral jasmine-musk fragrance. This combination is pleasant and lasts a long time, but it offers little variety and depth.

It seems that Gebauer likes this floral base, as some of the Gebauer fragrances from this sample set go in a similar direction ... towards a jasmine-musk base that remains prominent for a long time.

For those looking for a long-lasting floral scent, the Orange Flamingo will be a good find. However, one should not expect too much from the initial "citrus note."

Overall, a solid fragrance that does not quite deliver what its "packaging" promises.

PS: Can you explain to me how the good Marc Gebauer came up with the name of this fragrance and the color of the bottle? Is there a story behind it?
I can't understand how people perceive this floral jasmine scent as citrusy/orange and fruity ...

I feel the same way; it basically just reminds me of laundry detergent or fabric softener. Overall, the scent isn’t for me. The performance is excellent, but it’s not for my nose.
