incredibly hard to get
Oud Seven is a fragrance that doesn't quite fit into a box. On one hand, it is very powerful and dark, and on the other hand, it is beautifully green and light! It is this twist that makes Oud Seven something special!
The violet leaf is the absolute gamechanger here! Normally, oud fragrances are very demanding, but here it is so well cushioned by the violet leaf that it comes across almost weightlessly. The green-spicy impressions are much more prominent than the oud. Of course, the oud is still the main accord throughout the fragrance, as it should be!
Oud Seven is definitely an absolutely wonderful fragrance; especially in spring, you can wear it almost daily. But it also fits well in the other seasons.
The performance is, as is typical for Matiere Premiere, top-notch.
If you have the opportunity to test it, do so.
