My nougat dreams got shattered, but maybe yours will come true
To me this smells just like the notes say: Rose, nougat and cinnamon. It's definitely the soft brown kind of nougat that almost smells like chocolate, not the hard white torrone.
The rose makes me think of a softer version of the roses in Montale fragrances. It's kind of sharp, but there are some fruity and powdery aspects to it, too. The cinnamon adds a layer of dryness to the otherwise very creamy and rich scent.
In my opinion this is a delicious, warming, intense gourmand that is also rather original and chic in a way. What more can you want for winter time? I was thinking about putting it on my wishlist right after trying it for the first time.
Then I showed it to my husband, who is usually very supportive about my interests and likes all my perfumes. And unfortunately, he finds it absolutely awful. I let him sniff it again on another day without telling him what it was, and he still hated it. Obviously I don't want my favorite person in the world to think that I smell like a toilet rim block (his words, not mine, I have no idea what he is smelling here!). Especially not when there are so many other scents we both enjoy. So sadly, I won't ever buy this. It's a love that wasn't meant to be.
