Forever and Now
Under my skin and above my head, veiled and hidden, you will never be fully revealed.
"Forget me not," you whisper, with a gentle, rustling voice. You remain loyal to me, quite remarkably, a stone in my shoe and on my heart, I stumble once more and lay my happiness at your feet.
"So help me and set me free!" I plead now, with my last strength.
You creep forward, I wallow, you rise above my weary limbs and above every certainty, up, up, but I remain lying down.
