Do you like these fruity, sweet scents with a noticeable oriental touch? Then this one would be a very good choice.
Abu Dhabi is once again a fragrance from Memo Paris that I really like. You have here an oriental-tinged scent with a wonderful sweetness, noticeably fruity accents, and a nice spiciness. If you’re into such things, you’re in the right place.
The fragrance starts off predominantly fruity sweet.
But right away, you have this spiciness that gives it that oriental touch.
The fruity sweetness is not too squeaky, and even those who are not into fruity scents can still find enjoyment in this one!
Why? Because it’s not just “only” fruity, but possesses that oriental vibe through the spiciness. Cardamom and a bit of incense are on a date at the beginning with a wonderful orange note. The ginger gives the orange or generally the fragrance at the start a slightly refreshed vein.
Over time, the plum definitely comes more to the forefront. Additionally, it gains a bit more warmth and depth.
The orange still lingers but becomes more subtle over time until it completely disappears. Davana is also a note that I quite enjoy smelling.
It pairs wonderfully with the plum, as it exudes similar scents.
Davana may have a bit more warmth and is not quite as sweet as the plum. It feels a bit “drier.”
The longer the fragrance sits on the skin, the more I also get olfactory parallels to a II Padrino by Sospiro or even an Initio Side Effect. It somehow feels like a hybrid of these two fragrances. I personally like it a lot.
Towards the end, the fruity accents are completely gone for me, and Abu Dhabi gains a bit more resinous traits.
A very softly earthy patchouli also makes an appearance. It becomes a bit woodier and almost balsamic.
The longevity on my skin is around eight hours.
In terms of projection, it is also absolutely solid and good.
At first, Abu Dhabi feels noticeably dominant to me.
However, this settles down a bit over time, which I personally found to be good. The fragrance is, by the way, wonderfully unisex wearable.
