The Peel Makes the Difference

Fruity on its own usually isn't enough for me. What piques my interest is the slight bitterness behind it. With Thai Pomelo the appeal lies right between juicy fruit and bitter peel - with rhubarb as a tart counterpoint. This combination has character for me.

The opening is bright, fresh and lively. Pomelo sets the direction, while blackcurrant adds a green-fruity accent. I especially love the interplay between juiciness and bitterness. It reminds me of the moment you open a citrus fruit and first smell the essential oils from the peel. It makes me want to take another sniff right away.

The rhubarb makes the blend intriguing. Its tart side works well with the pomelo and gives the fruitiness a bit of bite. That's exactly what I like: I enjoy fruit when it's fresh and a little edgy. Rose brings the individual impressions together and adds a gentle floral softness.

As it develops, Thai Pomelo becomes softer. Amber and musk form a calm backdrop against which the sparkling facets gradually fade. I wish the pomelo would last longer - that lively opening is the highlight for me.

Definitely unisex in my book. Best worn in the sunshine and warm weather: sleeves rolled up, sunglasses on, and off you go. Whether it's your first coffee outdoors or an impromptu trip around town, Thai Pomelo brings the freshness.

What makes Thai Pomelo appealing? Juicy pomelo with bitter peel and a tart rhubarb twist. That little tension turns a pretty idea for a fruity scent into one you definitely want to smell more closely.
