Too smoky for me but still a brilliant scent
As a regular perfume lover who likes exploring independent brands, I was really excited to test this creation. According to the pyramid, there’s a lot going on here- from a bright lemonade and lavender opening to a massive heart of various roses and iris.
Skin chemistry is wild thing- the fresher and floral notes get instantly swallowed up on my skin. What I get instead is a huge, uncompromising wave of smoky frankincense, dark Assam oud, and very prominent animalic notes (civet, hyraceum, and castoreum). It feels deeply oriental, leathery, and smoky.
To be completely frank, it’s just not my vibe at all. But even though it's not my cup of tea, I cannot deny that this is a brilliant piece of perfume art. It is incredibly unique, complex, and clearly made with passion and high- quality ingredients. It’s a hidden gem for the true hardcore lovers of smoky, animalic niche scents, even if I’ll just be admiring it from a distance.
