With a quiet,
unexcited chamomile-leaved hand,
a comforting flower
laid upon the fragrant heart.

Yeah, the base + Buxton raises some doubts. But it sounds okay.

Even though the frankincense sounds just the way I like it, I'm still skeptical. The only chamomile that has convinced me so far is in Casa Cuervo, beautifully warm and nestled in sun resins.

Sigh. Casa Cuervo is a real dream, even if I don't use it often enough.

My heart is very **incense**-burning at the moment, but I'm afraid Mr. B. isn't the right incense dealer for me. By the way: how I've missed this wordplay... **Incense**-burning... 馃珷

I'm stretching out my chamomile fingers in your direction, maybe it'll work. 馃

Buxton is also tough for me. Some of M&R's fragrances I actually liked quite a bit.

Once a favorite scent, now more like a beloved place where you still feel at home, but wouldn't necessarily want to live anymore.

I often struggle with Mark Buxton's compositions, but as always, you've expressed them beautifully in words.

I used to get along better with its nuances and still do at times, but as my nose has evolved, it feels a bit more distant now.

I'm not over the moon about it, but it's beautifully crafted in its subtle way.

Absolutely. And this one knows how to do it particularly well.

The CdG Incense line is still one of my favorites from the house.

Sounds dreamy to me. Chamomile and incense!

Dream combo. The reason I'm not completely raving about it is that it "dulls down" towards the end, but it's definitely worth giving it a sniff.

Frankincense and chamomile make a great combo. In the end, though, it felt a bit too tame for me.

Wonderful combo. I feel the same way. His quietness is part of his charm, but I would have preferred it to be a little less muted.

I love this combination, even if this might not be my favorite version of it. It always works, though.

A warming, comforting incense that clearly comes from Buxton's hand (it reminds me a bit of his mb03) and, as Ergoproxy already noted, could also belong to the Incense line from CdG. Not "Avignon," even though the chamomile might suggest that; it has too little "church" vibe for that.

The wheel isn鈥檛 reinvented here, but it doesn鈥檛 need to be.

It combines a spicy, slightly peppery secular incense with subtle floral accents and that chamomile note, which is nowhere as beautiful as in the pairing with incense. A scent that takes you by the hand without any fuss, and the addition of synthetic elements seems meaningful in a CdG way without being overly prominent-though it does feel a bit dull towards the end. Many thanks to @Bosworth!
