Patchouli Beast
I first smelled the fragrance at around 16 years old and was immediately in love. After that, it was my signature scent for many years.
At first, A*Men is very fresh due to the bergamot; combined with the peppermint, I even find it somewhat cooling.
However, after a short time, the patchouli and lavender unfold, and the scent becomes sweet. The amber adds heaviness and gives it a certain warmth. I feel that in winter, the scent seems to cut through the cold. The musk adds an animalistic quality and emphasizes the sweetness.
The longevity is very good, just like the projection.
With women, back when they were still girls, I always received compliments for A*Men. Some friends even became aware of the fragrance Angel because of it.
Among my male friends, the scent hasn't always been received as well; some found it too sweet.
My father always said, "It smells like a Siamese brothel here."
I must admit, I wore the fragrance in all situations back then, whether summer or winter, and always applied a good amount.
Today, I only wear it in winter, for example, when going out.
Personally, I am an absolute fun boy of Thierry Mugler's A*Men. This is mainly because I associate a lot of memories with the fragrance.
