And that pretty much sums up my relationship to this fragrance. First of all: I don't know the original Alien. The first time I had a sample was around 2015. At that time, the fragrance was just terrible for me - too loud, too penetrating, too intrusive (interestingly, I found Black Opium Eau de Parfum great - but that's another story). Well, maybe I just should not have sprayed half sample at once :-D No purchase candidate for me anyway.
After a long time, I was already active here on Parfumo, I smelled him then finely dosed (!!!) at a woman who stood in a queue in front of me. I asked her if she happened to wear Alien Eau de Parfum, she affirmed and was pleased that I had recognized the fragrance. And what can I say - it smelled great! Warm, sensual, full jasmine drone, light woodiness. Yes, it's sweet, but with "edge". Definitely recognize it and except for various dupes, I can't think of any fragrance that resembles it.
So I then bought a bottle to give Alien Eau de Parfum a new chance. Various flanker I had at the time already. As a precaution, I chose a day when I was almost only outside, moreover, it was winter. Two sprays I took and that was almost too much. I really noticed the scent all day; on my scarf even longer. Please do not get the idea to spray Alien Eau de Parfum in the warm season, this fragrance needs cold. Plus: at too high a concentration, especially in combi with heat, he may well cause headaches and even nausea.
To which occasions fits Alien Eau de Parfum ? Well, there are fragrances that want to subtly seduce, discreetly cuddly and so on. Alien Eau de Parfum is there more so the crowbar, if you understand. Thus, I would recommend the fragrance more for going out than for the office (unless you're targeting someone there ;)). Since this option is out for me, my Alien Eau de Parfum is mostly in the closet. Let's see when I let it out again :)
