Mugler’s definition of gourmand is my absolute favorite because they trademarked the gourmand-patchouli combo in their infamous Angel. It’s a scent that people love and that many hate. I am one that falls on the side of love because not only do I think it’s iconic, but it’s a scent that’s my mom wore a ton growing up, and always reminds me of her fierceness. She’s challenging though and for good reason.
Angel Muse EDP embodies the boldness of Angel while somehow toning it down and making it more “wearable”. Again, I love Angel, but I do understand she can be entirely too much. That’s where Muse EDP comes in! She’s sweet, she’s woody/earthy, she’s playful but not to be played with, she’s unique, and she’s outwardly sexy. Not sure if Parfumo is missing some notes, but she has a distinct Nutella / chocolate-hazelnut note that gives the scent a nutty edge and makes it feel more gourmand. I love her in the fall / winter, and miss her dearly in the spring / summer. I love everything about her, right down to the bottle. It’s one of my favorite Angel flankers and it’s one i hope to keep it in my collection for years to come.
If you couldn’t take a liking to Ms. Angel, try and get your nose on her cousin Muse EDP. She’s truly a masterpiece.
