Alien Goddess Mugler 2023 Eau de Parfum Supra Florale

I believe many of us can agree: Since the takeover by L'Oréal, Mugler fragrances have changed. Many, like me, know the Mugler scents from the 90s with bomb-like longevity, mega sillage, and nuclear projection. The latter even caused nausea for some.
The Goddess line has been heavily discussed in the fragrance community and generated a lot of hate at the beginning. However, today it shows that the change in Mugler fragrances has reached a whole new target audience. Especially the Goddess line is crowd-pleasing, no longer controversial and challenging for the nose.
The new Alien Goddess Eau de Parfum Supra Florale is also tame, with a gentle Alien heart, the familiar jasmine infusion, and an amber base note.
I tested this fragrance extensively because I wanted a nice summer scent that is neither a freshie nor a beachy scent. And with Supra Florale, I found what I was looking for.
The feedback from those around me was all very positive. It was described as "Why and somehow floral."
The opening is fresh and slightly fruity, probably due to the cactus fruit and flower. This gives it a bit of a fabric softener character with the floral accords. One smells clean and well-groomed. After about half an hour, the jasmine accord opens up, giving the entire fragrance a familiar Alien aura. The immortelle (flower of the curry herb) adds a slightly honey-like note to the heart of the fragrance, but without coming off as sticky or synthetic syrupy.
The base reveals itself as amber warm and slightly mineral. The description mentions "mineral moss," but even as a florist, I can't make much of that...
Overall, I find the fragrance successful and quite innovative despite its crowd-pleaser character. I can't recall any (designer) fragrance that was composed like this.
Longevity on the skin is about 5-6 hours. On clothing, it is also noticeable the next day. At the beginning, the sillage is strong, but it decreases quickly and progressively after the first hour. Projection after application is relatively good, but also decreases quickly after the first hour.
Even though this fragrance is marketed towards women, I still find it unisex. The mineral and amber undertone makes it possible for me.
Although crowd-pleasing, it is still not a blind buy candidate. Definitely test it!
